Voidverse

I devoured Voidverse by Damien Ober, published in English in March 2026 and coming soon in French on July 15, 2026. Its intriguing black cover (from the first English edition) and poetic tagline immediately caught my attention. Rather than letting it sit on my shelf, I dove into it without delay.

This novel deconstructs traditional science fiction and launches readers into a gritty universe where monotony gives way to a rich, strange world full of surprises and unexpected twists.

From the very beginning, the reader is disoriented, navigating a world where physics defies logic, where up and down blur together, and where common sense seems to dissolve. Yet as the story unfolds, this bizarre universe gradually becomes more and more believable.

We meet a character who arrives just in time to warn of an impending catastrophe, only to be met with disbelief. Inevitably, some will react too late.

The worlds are tiny rocky spheres, and people leap effortlessly from one to another, provided they have mastered the technique for a soft landing. But peace is fragile, and disaster strikes without warning—unless the heroine manages to intervene.

I highly recommend this book.
